Wow. This is my second Rose Bakery to visit here in Paris. This location is inside Le Bon Marché. It wasn't very busy on a Tuesday around 2pm. I was blown away by how good everything was. We had Carrot/Ginger Juice, Grapefruit Juice, Crab Salad w Orange, Gazpacho, Bakewell Tart w Pistachio and Reine Claude Almond Muffin.
Service was wonderful, although I was given the wrong salad. I ate it anyway, the Crab Salad.
Note: For desserts, they charge about 2 euros more foeconsumption in store, see pic.
If you're in the area, you must come here. This place is worth it. I knew about it through Rose Carrarini's wonderful cookbooks. -

4.5 stars for the cake
3 stars for the services
We came in here after spending the afternoon in the store.
We waited quite awhile before getting our seats. The servers are slow and you need to have some patient to wait for them to take your order and giving you a bill.
So if you are in a rush or have something planned ahead in the following hours, I would highly recommend you to find other place to rest and chill after you done with your shopping.
We ordered the citron rose cake and the lemon pudding cake. Both are wonderful. The cakes are moist and favourable. I am surprised by the aroma it left after each bit i had for both cake. It is more obvious in the citron rose cake. It like having a rose bathing after a tired day. There is no doubt this cake is one of the most popular in the bakery.
I am happy they have another branch in New York as it is closer to Toronto. I might have a chance to try them out after I got back.
P.s. lining up to pay your bill will be faster than just waiting in your seats. Oh! Remember to check your bill as the server might mix up with the others as their system wasn't as organized as other place. -

One of my favorite places in Paris and I'm not sure why the reviews are so poor! The service is fast and efficient and the food is fresh and delicious.
One time I came here for afternoon tea with my mom and we also got a carrot cake (famous for a reason) and yogurt with fruit and muesli. All delicious albeit a bit pricey.
Today I came for lunch and it was slightly busy and I had to get a shared table for one. They have a rotating menu so the food is always in season which I love! They have a quiche available daily and salads too but my favorites are always their meat dish or gnocchi mix. Today I got the pumpkin and make gnocchi and it was to die for. The gnocchi was pan grilled to perfection and the baked pumpkin was so sweet and savory!! They also serve you a ton of bread so you don't feel so alone even when dining alone lol.
For dessert I got a latte and rose citron cake. The cakes are all delicious no matter the flavor. My latte came out cold but they fixed it quickly.
This lunch came out to 32€ but it's such a nice place to chill inside the bon marché AND THE views are stunning. Come here! -

Overpriced, but what do you expect from a cafe in le bon marche? We had a more pleasant experience than A, but to be fair, we didn't require much attention.
I was pretty pleased with my trio of salads (carrot / red cabbage / potato - €13). They were fresh, clean and felt good for you, not like bland rabbit food but aromatic and well-seasoned. My brownie cheesecake was just alright though. It was more sweet than chocolatey and wasn't quite the dark, dense monster I was expecting. It had a consistency more like flourless chocolate cake.
The crowd's very 'fashion'. Freelance writer types scribbling in notebooks and housewives on their own, resting after a day's shopping. Also, they have a very complicated system!! You pay at the counter (after giving them your table number) but when you're seated no one tells you what your table number is. It's all so confusing. We saw quite a few people who had messy mix ups. Also, there's only one person seating new diners whilst settling the checks, which again makes no sense and you're left with a queue even though there's tons of space! I don't quite understand..
Overall, a little on the steep side and service could be better, but still pleasant. We ended up here because it was pouring outside and we happened to be in le bon marche at 3pm having forgotten to have lunch. Otherwise, I'm sure there are far better places to snack/chill out in Paris. -

Waited ages to be served by friendly but very inefficient staff only then to be told that the kitchen had stopped preparing lunch! Very disappointed and frustrated because I had great memories of a wonderful lunch I ate in the branch in the now closed Marais branch a few years ago. Oh, and they obviously don't bother to update their website - the Maison Rouge branch has closed now as well! Only go if you don't mind waiting and paying a fortune for the pleasure ...
